At the International Furniture Market this past spring, appeared a new take on an old style. Curvy shapes with a romantic, feminine feel were showing up on all types of furnishings, taking the hard edge off of current styles. Our North Carolina furniture showrooms will be some of the first to show how you can incorporate these new pieces.

With a nod to the cabriole leg, a slightly more exaggerated profile was shown that takes inspiration from the traditional Queen Anne style. Heavily carved and distressed wood frames on chairs were given a floral print cover in pale colors of blue, green, and neutrals. Fully upholstered seating brought back more curvy details such as tufting and flared arms to their styles. The overall look brings a very inviting and somewhat sexy swagger back to a room that has been missing for a while. A softer and more elegant style is created with the use of subtle silks and luxurious textures.
The discount living room furniture and bedroom furniture stores within Hickory Furniture Mart will show you how to combine the new romantic pieces into your existing style. Whether you need a new sofa or an upholstered headboard, you will find the new trends that will work for your home.
