Today was our inaugural VIP Interior Design Day. We invited some designers to come join us at the Mart for a sneak preview of our After Market Sale.
We started the morning touring the Mart floor by floor, meeting with showroom managers along the way. Many of them are just back from Market and were turning over their furniture showrooms as we were looking around. Each of the furniture showrooms offered something a little bit different, but all showed high quality competatively priced furniture.
We covered the 1,000,000 square foot Mart in record time of 4 hours. Learning about each of the unique furniture lines along the way. Some of the pieces that caught every designers’ eye were the handcrafted pieces. Many of the manufacturers and showrooms are able to customize their pieces to specific client needs, which is particularly helpful for designers working in unique spaces.
We stopped off for a late lunch at Grapevines where everyone refueled for the afternoon. Though, before everyone left we had some door prizes for our designers and Traci Zeller walked away with a console table from one of our showrooms.
We are so glad that everyone was able to join us for this first event. We hope to be doing this type of event again, so if you’re an interior designer and are interested in coming to tour the Mart for our next VIP Interior Designer event leave us a comment and we’ll follow up.
