Angie, our on the ground interior designer at High Point Market Spring 2010, has done an amazing job bringing us pictures and video on the trends coming out of Market this year. She’s headed back to Florida but wanted to share some beautiful and artistic pieces of lighting that are a huge trend at Market. The drum shades in all shapes and sizes have over taken this years spring market lighting looks. They range from rice paper to hand painted silk fabrics to create the ‘drum’ of the light fixture…
But we are seeing these used from hanging bar/island pendants…
To larger scale dressier versions being utilized at the focal point of a primary room.
Colors and accented details (with metal/iron casings) are helping the different styles stand apart.
