Neither or both? <a href=\"\/traditional\/style-type.aspx\">Traditional design<\/a>, whether it is for your home or otherwise, is a style that we will be seeing for years and years to come. Many homeowners feel very at ease with this style of architecture and design. Its roots drawback many years to styles such as Rococo (a period of the Baroque tradition) and such artistic imagery as Chinoiserie (a French term used to describe a depiction of Asian influence). But, in today\u2019s time, do we even know what traditional is? We all want crown-molding in our homes and can appreciate a Queen Anne style leg on our table, but how does that help our space feel traditional?<\/p>\n<p>The word \u201ctraditional\u201d is an all-encompassing word that can mean different things to different people. With ornate hand-carved furniture on one end of the spectrum and clean-lined pieces with a softer appeal on the other, any traditional space can be at your fingertips. Luckily, finding traditional style furniture in North Carolina is simple.<\/p>\n<p>Keep the flow of your space by making sure each piece you select somehow relates to the other. For instance, make sure any wood tones complement each other nicely (either by matching closely or providing a high contrast) and incorporating metal hardware that may not match, but that will enhance corresponding hardware on other furniture. Just remember to take note of the details.<\/p>\n<p>Pass\u00e9 or nouveau? Neither.
