You&#8217;ve planned. You&#8217;ve collected more pictures and articles than you ever thought possible. You\u2019ve measured and analyzed every possible placement of your furniture. You&#8217;ve shopped at a great North Carolina furniture gallery. You&#8217;re well on your way!<\/p>\n<p>Implementation is next. Start with a clean slate by going through and tossing any unnecessary knick-knacks or items that have seen better days. Use only things you love! Begin final selections of your samples by deciding paints or fabrics or woods as a unit, rather than independently of one another. Say you have a sofa picked out for your great room that is upholstered with a beautiful ivory, moss green and chocolate brown organic print. A great way to tie the kitchen finishes into the living area finishes would be to choose a beautiful glazed or back-painted glass tile in the same shade of green. When positioned alongside cabinetry with a lustrous espresso finish, you have a look to swoon over. Can\u2019t you just picture it?<\/p>\n<p>Charles Eames once said, \u201cThe details are not the details. They are what make the design.\u201d He knew what he was talking about! Use details to tailor your end-look with finesse. You may want to strategically place accent lighting near a seating area to provide a candlelit glow for your guests. Or stack two large pictures vertically, rather than side-by-side, to mix it up. Incorporate a large floor vase in a small empty corner. Any indoor plant brings a room to life at this stage, as well.<\/p>\n<p>You should be impressed with yourself.
