The design of this original cocktail Table owes to Laura Kirars private client work. An uncluttered form, with both the top and the lower shelf floating, it relies on the strong figure of the wood and the stronger texture of its bronzed bark-like iron legs. Two wood finishes and three sizes. The Angulo offers a sense of modular architecture. As the name would suggest, the use of forged angle iron extends that idea to even the most decorative element of the table. In keeping with that approach, the top and shelf use an alternating slip match reminiscent of the monumental wood paneling seen in the architecture of the 1920s. Scaled to sofas over 90 inches. In the right finish, this item can also take on a vintage look.
A designer with the soul of an artist, Laura Kirar completed her degree in sculpture and interior architecture at the prestigious School of the Art Institute of Chicago. After moving to New York in 1994, Kirar worked in high-end residential interiors as a furniture designer before founding Tru Partners, Inc. In 1999. Since then she's overseen numerous projects ranging from luxury residences in New York City to a signature loft for Starwood Hotels at the W Dallas. Her passion for artistic exploration in all mediums has continued to infuse her work with originality and thoughtful attention to detail.
